Howard Industries announced today that it is expanding its recently-built Ellisville Substation Transformer Facility with the addition of a 90,000 square-foot tank fabrication line. Construction has already begun, and completion is anticipated in late first quarter 2008. Post-expansion size of the facility will be 290,000 square feet. Howard explained that even though the Ellisville Substation Facility has been in operation for only a few years, strong demand for its substation product has made this expansion necessary. The Ellisville Substation Transformer Facility currently builds medium power substation transformers through 40 MVA (ONAN), with a planned increase in capacity to 60 MVA (ONAN) by the end of 2008.
