The Howard Industries two-position sidewall mounted loadbreak switch is designed for use in transformer mineral oil and FR# fluid. It is designed so that it can be mounted with the leads being either in the horizontal or vertical position in padmounted distribution transformers and distribution switchgear. The switch uses energy stored in a spring operating assembly be quickly open and close the contacts. It can be switched using minimal torque using the handle, which is also designed for use with a hot stick.
